Hello Neighbors!
Did you know that Hampton Park, a neighborhood made up of 75 homes, has residents from all over the globe? Did you know that we also had a number of new neighbors move in this year? We would love to highlight the many coun-tries and families in our neighborhood.
If you would like to share a fun fact or recipe from your country in our newslet-ter, please email [email protected].

Chalk the Walk
Let’s help spread a little joy during these difficult times we are in right now and join Chalk the Walk 2020! It is officially being held Aug. 17 and 18, but you can participate anytime. Grab some sidewalk chalk and decorate your driveway, sidewalk or venture out to a local park to leave your creative touch with a posi-tive message or drawing. Take a picture and share your messages with #ChalktheWalkOP

Neighbor spotlight
Want to be featured in our Neighbor Spotlight for the August newsletter? Send us a few sentences about your family’s story and how you ended up choosing Hampton Park. Submissions can be sent to [email protected]. We’d love to hear from our seasoned and new neighbors!

Music nights
Have you heard the wonderful music coming from our neighborhood? Several of our neighbors have so graciously started entertaining us with their wonder-ful talents right in their own driveways. Feel free to stop by for a song or bring your chairs and stay a while. If you have a talent you would like to share with the neighborhood, please give us the details and we will get the word out.

Yard of the month contest rules
The YOM will be awarded each month between May and September. The winner of each monthly contest will receive a $50 gift certificate to Mission Gardens Nursery. Winners will be determined the first week of the month following the contest month. (For example, the May YOM winner will be decided the first week of June.)

In October, a GRAND PRIZE winner will be selected from the five monthly winners and will receive a 50% discount on 2021 HOA dues!

• All homes in our Hampton Park subdivision who are current on their annual dues are eligible to receive YOM once per calendar year (excluding Exec Board – President, Treasurer and Vice President).

• The Exec Board will judge and determine the monthly winners based upon overall curb appeal and condition of the yard, including lawn, landscaping, trees and flowers or flowering shrubs. Nominations can also be submitted by any homeown-er to any Exec Board member (nominations made by you for your own home are not permitted!).

• Should a homeowner decline to participate upon notification of winning, the second place yard will become YOM.

• After accepting the YOM designation and prize, winners will be communicated monthly via neighborhood email.

• A YOM sign will be provided to the winner to be placed in their yard during the 30 day period recognizing the honor.
