Yard of the Month - How it Works
Spring has sprung, summer is near and so begins the Yard of the Month Contest! The YOM is awarded each month from May to September. Winners are determined the first week of the month following the contest month (ie May winner determined first week of June).
Unfortunately Mission Gardens, our sponsor for the past two years, has not opened for the 2021 season, so we will not be awarding gift certificates to monthly winners, but the winning home will receive special recognition. Keep in mind that a GRAND PRIZE winner is drawn from the five monthly winners during the Annual HOA Meeting in October and receives a 50% discount on 2022 HOA dues!
2021 Yard of the Month Rules
· All homes in our Hampton Park subdivision who are current on their annual dues are eligible to receive YOM once per calendar year (excluding Exec Board – President, Treasurer and Vice President/Secretary).
· The Exec Board or YOM Selection Committee will judge and determine the monthly winners based upon overall curb appeal and condition of the yard, including lawn, landscaping, trees and flowers or flowering shrubs.
· Should a homeowner decline to participate upon notification of winning, the second place yard will become YOM.
· After accepting the YOM designation, winners will be communicated monthly via neighborhood email.
· A YOM sign will be provided to the winner to be placed in their yard during the 30 day period recognizing the honor.
· While recognized as YOM, the winning property is expected to maintain the yard that allowed them to win the honor.
